Anti Fraud Policy

Before completing your purchase, please read and understand the following important terms:

1. Payment Authorization

By placing an order or providing your credit or debit card information, you confirm that you are the authorized owner of the payment method (or have the owner's express permission to use it) and that you agree to pay the full amount for the goods or services ordered.

2. Prohibited Fraudulent Activities

The following activities constitute fraud and a material breach of the terms agreed at the time of purchase. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

(a) Chargeback and payment dispute fraud. Filing a dispute or chargeback with your card issuer, bank, or payment provider without a valid basis — for example, claiming a transaction was unauthorized or erroneous when you in fact authorized the purchase and accepted delivery of the goods or services.

(b) False non-delivery claims. Claiming that a product was not delivered when the product was actually delivered to the shipping address you provided or has been activated or used.

(c) Return and refund fraud. Abusing our return or refund process, including without limitation: returning an empty package or a package containing items other than the original product; returning a counterfeit, substituted, or different unit (including serial-number mismatch); returning a product damaged by misuse while claiming it is defective; falsely claiming a product is defective or non-functional in order to obtain a refund or replacement; or retaining a replacement unit while failing to return the original as instructed.

(d) Warranty fraud. Making warranty claims based on false statements, including claims for damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, or accident misrepresented as manufacturing defects; claims for products not purchased from Plaud or an authorized reseller; or claims involving stolen, altered, or unverifiable serial numbers.

(e) Promotion, discount, and referral abuse. Obtaining or attempting to obtain discounts, credits, or benefits through false eligibility credentials (for example, fabricated student, educator, healthcare, or military status), self-referral, creation of multiple accounts, or other manipulation of promotional programs.

(f) Service and subscription abuse. Circumventing usage limits, engaging in automated or systematic abuse of transcription or AI services, repeatedly cycling free trials or promotional plans, or sharing account credentials in violation of applicable plan terms.

(g) Use of stolen or unauthorized payment instruments. Placing orders using stolen, compromised, or unauthorized payment methods or identities.

(h) Other fraudulent activities. Any other fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity determined by Plaud in good faith, based on reasonable evidence, to be intended to obtain products, services, refunds, replacements, discounts, or other benefits to which the customer is not entitled.

3. Verification and Documentation

We may verify order, delivery, return, and usage information to confirm whether a transaction, delivery, or return was completed as agreed. This may include, without limitation: shipment and return tracking records; carrier proof-of-delivery data (including delivery photographs, signatures, and geolocation stamps); product serial numbers; product activation, registration, and usage logs; account and payment records; and other relevant transaction data. You agree to cooperate reasonably with such verification, including providing requested information or documentation.

4. Device and Service Access

If we reasonably determine, based on the verification described above, that you have engaged in any of the fraudulent activities described in Section 2, and after providing appropriate notice if required by applicable law, we may suspend, deactivate, or limit access to the product, device, account, or related services. This may include remote deactivation of the device, suspension of AI membership plans and transcription services, and restriction of the associated account, until the matter is resolved. Where the fraud involves a false non-delivery claim or return fraud, resolution may require repayment of refunded amounts or return of the product in its original condition.

5. Remedies and Reinstatement

We reserve the right to pursue all remedies available to us under applicable law and contract, including representment of chargebacks, denial or reversal of refunds, cancellation of pending orders, collection of amounts owed, termination of accounts and memberships, refusal of future orders, and referral to law enforcement or reporting to fraud-prevention services where permitted by law.

If you believe a determination under this policy was made in error, you may contact us at support@plaud.ai with supporting information. We will review your submission in good faith and reinstate access promptly where the determination is not substantiated. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

6. Acknowledgment

By submitting your order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
